CLASSES FOR ALL
Beginners to Long Practicing Yogis... Sporty Types to Its-Been-a-While Types...
Yoga is great for all of us!! Regular yoga practice will help you to build strength, calm the mind, become more flexible and take some precious me-time. All levels of ability and fitness are welcome to all classes.
Work your body and mind...
A flowing class inspired by Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, you will work your body and play with your own 'edge'. Moving with the breath, we warm the body before practicing standing and seated poses.
Channeling the mind to remain focussed on the present moment is just as important as challenging your balance on one leg! The strong physical practice will leave you feeling worked and ready for a blissful relaxation.
Surrender and Release...
This delicious practice is the polar opposite of my regular flow classes. Carefully and mindfully, we hold asanas (poses) for up to 5 minutes. Don't worry if this sounds like hard work - this is a passive style of yoga where the focus is on letting go and noticing the body opening in its own time.
Yin is just what the doctor ordered for high hips and backs - if you feel like you're 'not flexible enough' for flow classes, you should definitely give Yin a go!
Ante Natal Yoga
YOGA FOR PREGNANCY
Starting a yoga practice during pregnancy gives you a chance to to find peace and space for you and your baby. You will learn breath techniques to connect with the changes taking place in your body and to induce a feeling of ease and relaxation. The physical postures are also carefully designed, to help with relaxation and pain relief as well as maintaining strength around your joints and pelvic floor.
You do not need to have any yoga experience to join my prenatal yoga class!
Private Group sessions
Are you a group of would-be-yogis that would like a class at your workplace or home? I can come to you. Previous groups include an Army boxing team, Family Yoga and Workplace Yoga.
Private Yoga Sessions

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
If you have your own mat, great. If not I have some spares available to borrow. If you do need to borrow a mat, please let me know in advance of the class so I can ensure I bring enough!!
We also use other props - such as straps and blocks. Again these can be borrowed when you are starting off, but in time, I would recommend buying your own to use at home.
Bring a bottle of water - its important to hydrate after class.
Finally some people like to bring a blanket and cosy socks for savasana (relaxation at the end!)
I'VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE. WILL I BE OK JOINING THE REGULAR CLASSES?
All levels are welcome to all classes. We usually have a mix of ages, genders and abilities! You are always encouraged to follow at your own pace and rest whenever needed.
Its a great idea to have a one-to-one session before you join regular classes to give you confidence in the key postures and breathing techniques. I also regularly run Beginner's / Back to Basics workshops - please contact me if there are no dates listed on the 'Workshops' page as these are generally run based on demand.
However - neither of these are compulsory and jumping in at the deep end is sometimes part of the fun!!
WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY OR FIND SOME POSES PAINFUL?
Please always let me know if you develop any injury or pain so your practice can be modified.
This is YOUR practice, so listen to your body and be kind to it, you can always stop for a rest or sit out of a pose. Yoga is the opposite of competition and nobody will judge you!!
